THE SECRET ORIGINS OF THE CROSSVERSE

In the beginning, there were the ashes of what came before. A world once as bustling as ours reduced to golden ambers, as its battle of good and evil comes to a draw. From this ash, emerges a hand...
From this hand, three planes of existence are created.

The Upper-World

The "highest" of the planes, dubbed the Upper-World, is the HOME of higher beings. It is home to harbingers of The Hand's will, such as Angels and Gods.
The first Angellic rebellion was sparked by a debate over free will... The Angels understood that they existed as mediators between man and The Hand, dubbed Yahweh by many, but were terrified by the concept of deternism, leading to Lucifer rallying an army of angels against his brother, Michael. Following the squandering of this rebellion, Lucifer was cast away to oversee the Anti-World.
Among the rebelling angels was Aztar, who was cast to hell alongside the other rebelling angels, now dubbed demons. Aztar plead to Michael for forgiveness and was granted divine power as The Hand's spirit of vengeance, otherwise known as The Spectre.
Gods were another aspect of the Upper-World, seeing as this plane of existence was also home to "godspheres" such as Asgard and Mount Olympus, Godspheres being homes to immensely powerful beings born on the Overworld.
Like all planes, the Upper-World itself has a semblence of "sentience," the entity being dubbed "The Upper-Monitor" by some, while being named Ouranus by the ancient greeks.

The Over-World

The plane of existence we reside on is known as the Over-World. Beings of the Upper-World hold power over this plane, able to create planets, gateways between the Upper-Worlds and Anti-Worlds, lifeforms, and other assorted matter. This plane is broadly representative of the balance between the Upper-World and the Anti-World, and is known as "The Over-Monitor" or "Gaea." Notably, the Over-World does not have a set leader, leading to it acting as an eternal warzone between The Upper-World and the Anti-World.

The Anti-World

Last of the planes is the Anti-World, home to its own subsect of godspheres, as well as various different afterlives, and would be ruled over by Lucifer. The Anti-World is the most sentient of the three, embodied by the terrifying Anti-Monitor, an impossibly powerful being that Lucifer regularly has to contend with and keep "at bay." That is, of course, until the late 1980s, when Lucifer said "fuck it," leaving hell behind for running a club in downtown Los Angeles.
